What You Will Learn
- You will learn about Bombardier tried-and-tested continuous improvement methods, known as Bombardier Operational Excellence.
- You will learn from a team of specialists, advising management teams across the organization, both in Canada and abroad.
- You will learn about a variety of business areas across Bombardier.
Your Contributions to the Team
- Contribute to the deployment of the Company wide Operational Excellence Initiative including technical elements, management tools and practices.
- Participate in Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping and Problem-Solving events with Operational Excellence specialist and cross-functional teams.
- Support the BOE team to engage the organization into the culture of operational excellence, who is our way to achieve the company’s goals.
- Conduct applicable time studies under direction of a BOE specialist.
- Collect data and perform statistical analysis to evaluate process performance.
- Analyze current processes to identify opportunities for improvement, identification of wastes.
- Collaborate in the presentation of improvement plans, data analysis, and other BOE activities.
- Promote a culture of standardization and execution through effective use of process, aligned KPIs and infrastructure.
- Create/Support in the design of process flowcharts, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Standard Operating Procedures.
How to Thrive in This Role
- You are currently enrolled in a Diploma, Bachelor's, Master's degree program in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
- You have the ability to communicate in French & English.
- You have good interpersonal skills.
- You have experience with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- You have experience in data management.
- You work well in a team environment and are known to contribute to a positive team spirit.
- You are a detail-oriented and rigorous individual.
Boarding Information:
- Location: Administrative Centre (CA)
- Duration: 8 months
- Flexible workplace-Hybrid
It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
