Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Transport Systems, Information Technology, the individual in this position will reside at one of our main hubs within Mississauga and will play a key role in supporting Canada Cartage’s applications and technology. The portfolio encompasses all application systems that support the various transportation businesses. The applications are a mix of 3rd party systems with some customizations and internally built applications.
The individual will administer the portfolio of transportation applications and support day-to-day issues in a timely manner. This is a key role in ensuring the ongoing smooth operation of the business and becomes the natural go-to person for both resources within the technical team and the business community. They will act as a Subject Matter Expert for internal initiatives relating to these applications and participate in projects involving the terminals.
Location: Hybrid - 6767 Davand Drive, Mississauga, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Weekend and after-hours support is required based on production issues and project timelines
- Flexibility to travel between multiple facilities within Canada for project rollouts
What You Will Do
- Provide Tier 2/3 Application Support by logging, prioritizing, and troubleshooting incidents via the ticketing system, collaborating with internal teams, and performing root cause analysis to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Oversee Application Health & Maintenance, coordinating with Infrastructure, Security, and vendor teams to ensure system updates, optimal performance, and compliance with IT standards.
- Contribute to Project Delivery by defining scope, gathering requirements, analyzing processes, managing project timelines, and adapting to changes in deliverables or priorities.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on supported applications, staying current on product roadmaps, configuring systems, and leading system testing, training, and SOP development.
- Support Business Process Optimization through process mapping, documentation, system configuration, and mentoring super users and L1 staff to ensure consistent application usage.
- Travel as needed to provide on-site support and user training at terminal locations across Canada during key project phases or go-lives.
- Build and Maintain Relationships with business users, leadership, and vendors, communicating effectively across audiences and acting as a key liaison to drive adoption and resolve issues.
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years of experience in Application Support, Business Analysis, or similar roles with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Background in Brokerage Systems and Supply Chain operations with a solid understanding of Transportation Management Systems and related technologies.
- Strong communicator (written, verbal, presentation) who thrives in cross-functional teams and works well with minimal supervision.
- Technical knowledge of APIs, EDI, system integrations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
- Proactive learner and change leader with the ability to juggle support and project work while managing shifting priorities.
- Educational background in a relevant post-secondary program (Engineering, Sciences, or IT-focused Business), with bonus points for Lean Six Sigma, SQL, BI tools like Power BI, and work management systems like Wrike.

Position Summary
