Position Details
TheDepartment of Mathematics and Computer Scienceinvites applications for a 9-month Instructor II / III term position, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be in the range of $65,185 to $74,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The appointment will commence on August 1st, 2026.
We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrated ability to teach Statistics courses. Teaching duties may include teaching classes and labs. The ability to teach a variety of courses offered by the department would be an asset. As many of our statistics courses include Labs with an R component, familiarity with standard statistical packages would be an asset. The successful candidate will have at least an M.Sc. in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. A Ph.D. would be considered an asset.

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science has an enthusiastic group of faculty members in the areas of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Our department offers an Applied Statistics program with specializations in the areas of Economics, Psychology and Geography. Other programs offered by the department include Mathematics, Mathematics Education and Computer Science. The University has a strong focus on experiential learning and liberal education.
