This is a fixed term contract role for parental leave cover

and reports directly into the VP of Finance & Ops.

What you will be doing:

Duties include but not limited to:

• Full cycle accounting inclusive of:
• Month-end close
• Credit card and bank account reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Inter-company transactions
• Accounts payable and receivable
• Monthly financial reporting and presentation to management
• Management and compliant for required government filings (GST, Corporate tax, etc)
• Bank account oversight and cash flow management
• Programmatic finance support:
• Budgeting and forecasting support
• Invoicing, expense tracking, reporting and reconciliation
• Semi-monthly payroll and related filings and compliance (EHT, WCB, etc)
• Lead fiscal year end close on all Spring entities

• Experienced with HubSpot, Notion, Slack, and GSuite
• Experienced in managing finance for multi-entity organizations
• Proficient in bookkeeping processes and tools (QuickBooks Online)
• Proficient in payroll processes and platforms (Rise)
• Proficient in Excel & Google Sheet
• Adept at communicating financial information with clarity and without jargon
• A Bachelor’s degree holder in Finance or Accounting (preferred)
• CPA Designation (preferred)
• Analytical and data driven
• Adept in preparing analysis documents and presentations with accuracy and consistency
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating cross-functionally
• Exceptionally organized with a demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities according to changing demands
• Possess a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy

Compensation:

• This is a 1-year fixed term F/T position with a salary of $60-70K
• 20 days of paid vacation, 5 personal health days, and statutory BC holidays
• Work remotely with access to a co-working space in Vancouver and Toronto
