About the role
Job Summary:
The Quality Leader Operations and Supplier Quality is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality of the assembly, machining and testing of the operation in Welland (CA) including Supplier Quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Process Owner of the Quality Issue Process, improving the current process end-to-end, including Fleet Programs or Service Solutions.
- Lead the Quality Board and ensure Quality Case execution corresponds to the plan.
- Ensure Launch and change processes (such as NPI, PPAP) are efficient to avoid new issues.
- Drive the process and quality culture of the organization.
- Define top Quality Initiatives with the Organization and manage operating rhythm to ensure proper execution.
- Own the internal and Supplier Audit Plan incl. execution and guidance.
- Train and develop team members on quality control procedures and standards.
- Report on the performance of the quality control systems to senior management.
- Get involved in the top problems that arise in the quality control process, including identifying root causes, developing solutions, and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that quality standards are met across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- At least 10 years of combustion engine experience (Engineering, Service, Quality or similar)
- Experience in quality assurance preferred
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Certifications such as Six Sigma or ISO 9001 Auditor are beneficial
