Production Manager | Thessalon, Ontario, Canada | Full-Time
Location Requirement: This role requires candidates to be currently based in Canada. Applications from candidates residing outside Canada will not be considered and will be automatically disqualified.
About the Role
We're looking for a Production Manager to join our Aggregates operation in Thessalon, Ontario. In this role, you'll share accountability for safety, environmental compliance, customer service, performance, quality, human resources, plant image, and community relations at the site with direct ownership of specific functions as assigned by the Plant Manager.
We're looking for someone organized, disciplined, and execution-focused, ready to drive operational excellence on-site.
What You'll Accomplish
Implement and track maintenance and production strategies to achieve targeted Operational Performance Indicators (OPIs) Drive daily communication with management and Quality Control to improve group efficiencies, manage inventories, and boost production performance Manage stockpile inventories Support financial planning and tracking using local/regional tools Develop, implement, and manage annual repair budgets; conduct financial analysis to identify cost-reduction opportunities Forecast profitability and production to optimize yield while balancing inventory and sales needs with the supply chain team Lead the individual development, motivation, and training of all direct reports to maximize team performance Ensure site-level compliance with Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) requirements, and all client and regulatory guidelines Demonstrate and promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance across all work environments
What We're Looking For
Education: High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree; Engineering or Business field of study preferred Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven operational and supervisory experience preferred
Additional Requirements
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of client-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face, in order to pass qualitative and quantitative fit testing.
