Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Machine Shop Technician - Boring Mill who will be reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor on the Weekend Day shift. As the Machine Shop Technician - Boring Mill, you will produce aircraft parts to drawing while operating machines in the cell.

Work Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario – Canada

Shift Hours – Weekday Afternoon (Monday-Thursday) 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.

What You Will Do

Perform own manual set-ups by positioning and aligning tooling per set-up instructions using CNC programming language (G codes). Maintain tolerances by observing operation and making necessary machine offset adjustments, cutter changes and self-inspection (OSV-Operator Self Verification). Document actions in support of quality logs, communicate all discrepancies in machining to supervision and create Product Defect Sheets (PDS) as required. Perform work from set-up sheets, manufacturing sheets and drawings.

Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work

Development in the cell. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications We Require

Typically; High school diploma, and a minimum of 3 years of current Boring Mill machining experience and/or 5 Axis Machining experience Experience utilizing measuring equipment in support of quality requirements Experience reading and interpreting blueprints. The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP Qualifications We Prefer Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) Verbal and written communication skills (English) Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner 5 Axis Machining experience Our Advanced Structures team leverages advanced materials and additive manufacturing to develop complex interior and exterior solutions. The salary range for this role is 61,334 CAD – 97,190 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
