Our team at South Surrey Smiles is looking for a passionate and energetic New Patient Coordinator to join our well-established practice in Surrey, British Columbia. - CDA’s looking to transition to an administrator role are encouraged to apply!

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Greet patients as they arrive and make them feel welcome.
- Book appointments for new and returning patients utilizing the appropriate scheduling templates.
- Ensure that the schedule accounts for the appropriate amount of Doctor time, filling openings as necessary and discussing any major changes with the clinical team.
- Manage patient statuses and ensure that appointments are booked or archived accordingly.
- Confirm that appointment reminders are being sent out, follow-up with unconfirmed appointments, and reschedule no-shows.
- Answer the telephone to direct calls, take messages, assist with patient emergency calls and answer general inquiries; follow-up on messages left during Clinic closures.
- Partner with our Treatment Coordinator in successfully integrating new patients into the practice.
- Take iTero scan, intra and extra oral photos, and x-rays of patient, upload patient photos into their chart and give the patient a tour of the office.
- Upload orthodontic records.
- Take ownership of the records room.
- Responsible for restocking, order necessary supplies and ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment.
- Perform other tasks as required.
The Teammate We’re Looking For
- Minimum one year of experience in dentistry.
- Certified Dental Assistant (required)
- Excel experience
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs.
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
