Job Summary
The Manager, Investor Experience, working in collaboration with the Investor Experience and Business Development teams, under guidance from the Director, Real Estate and Investor Experience, is focused on triaging and executing bespoke client service and leading local and inbound investor/company events for the overall purpose of attracting companies, capital and talent.
This is a full-time permanent position
Key Responsibilities
Investor/ Company Relationship Management

Support the enhancement of Investor Experience service offering for Business Development clients.

Manage the investor/company/ client relationship, lead team to establish timely touchpoints, actions and follow ups.

Manage the planning and delivery of bespoke client services across multiple sectors.

Provide direction to the team on what service support is required within a specific timeframe.

Develops detailed project plans and workback schedules.
Event Management
-
Plan events in consultation with relevant stakeholders and ensure regular communication between the Investor Experience and Business Development teams.

Manage inbound investor/company/ client focused visits, events and activations.
-
Oversee all event logistics including venue, programming, AV, F&B, client gifts, marketing collateral, etc.

Work with the communications team to obtain social and communications support, including speech and presentations.

Evaluate the success of events by tracking information, performing analysis and connecting with internal and external clients.
Investor/ Company Services Delivery & Development
-
Work with co-agencies of the City of Calgary and with partner organizations to ensure alignment, leverage solutions and avoid duplication of efforts.

In harmonisation with the team, develop a local and international network of private, public, and government stakeholders to assist with all aspects of the FDI strategy (e.g. Trade Commissioner Service (TCS), City of Calgary, etc.).

Build strategic partnerships with local business leaders and other key stakeholders to gather the best possible corporate market intelligence.

Support market development programs to profile Calgary's unique value proposition to key global markets.

Support the creation and delivery of special projects designed to advance the industries and to engage/recruit local companies.

Highlight business success stories and industry developments to be communicated to key clients via Calgary Economic Development marketing initiatives.

Compile business intelligence and other available data for enhanced investment and business expansion into Calgary.

Stay current with local, national, and international industry trends.

Network with others, providing referrals to industry/government contacts and reciprocating introductions with partners/industry executives.

Investigate the prospects of new and emerging sectors and subsectors in the Calgary ecosystem that may generate significant investment opportunities.

Participate in the creation of investor experience plans centered around strengthening the industry value proposition, enhancing local talent pool, and deepening the sales pipeline.

Educatio****n
Undergraduate degree in Economics, Business, Social Science, Communications, Marketing or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Administration, Management, Commerce or Economic Development.
Project Management and event planning experience would be an asset.

Educatio****n
