Job Title: Youth Worker
Reports to: Chilliwack Area Director
Classification: Full-time or Part-Time
Location: Chilliwack

General Description
In this position, the youth worker would
Provide spaces for youth to learn about Jesus
Support youth in school (academics, arts, shop class, sports, lunchtime, and more) Run clubs, hang out times, and day trips Mentor and disciple youth one-to-one Build a volunteer team Create partnerships between Youth Unlimited and churches, schools, and community agencies Create a team of ministry partners who help fund the youth worker’s salary, benefits, and ministry expenses.

Youth Unlimited salaries are set by our Board of Directors, with frontline salaries at the upper levels of industry standards. Staff also receive strong organizational support, and our average staff retention is over 10 years.
As part of this role, you will actively build a team of ministry partners who support your work through prayer and financial giving. This includes raising funds to cover your salary and program expenses. Training, coaching, and resources are provided to help you succeed in this important aspect of ministry.

Youth in Greater Vancouver struggle through many challenges and obstacles. Challenges like unstable home lives, systemic vulnerability, addiction, mental illness, poverty and even a rapidly changing technological landscape make the social, psychological and cognitive challenges of adolescence all the more difficult to navigate. Yet, we see the potential within each young person we meet. We are confident that with enough of the right support, they can overcome all of the challenges that life throws their way.
Youth Unlimited has been helping young people discover their potential since 1947.
