Associate Lawyer – 1 to 3 Years’ Experience

C2 Global Law LLP is a boutique full-service law firm with a practice focused primarily on corporate/commercial law, tax, trusts, trademarks, real estate, and related litigation. We are seeking a full-time associate lawyer with 1 to 3 years of post-call experience to assist senior counsel with client files, due diligence, document review, file review, legal research, drafting, corporate transactions, tax-related matters, trusts, and litigation support. This is an opportunity for a lawyer who wants hands-on experience, direct client exposure, and the ability to work closely with senior counsel on a broad range of sophisticated legal matters.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will assist with: corporate and commercial transactions; tax-driven corporate reorganizations, including rollovers and related documentation; trusts, estates, and related planning matters; commercial agreements and corporate resolutions; due diligence and document review; legal research and drafting; litigation support on commercial, tax, trust, real estate, and related disputes; and general file management and client communications.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: 1 to 3 years of experience as an associate lawyer; a JD or LLB membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario; experience or interest in corporate/commercial law, tax, trusts, estates, real estate, and/or related litigation; familiarity with section 85 rollovers, corporate resolutions, trusts, partnerships, and related corporate documentation would be an asset; strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills; excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills; the ability to work independently and manage files with appropriate supervision; and the ability to attend at the firm’s Oakville office on a full-time basis.
