Overview:

We are excited to welcome a Phlebotomist to join our team and support high-quality patient care supporting our busy Family Internal Medicine – South Boston, VA!

Job Summary

Part-time, 25 hours per week Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM Must be reliable and understand that the role starts at 7:00 AM sharp Additional full-day coverage may be required for backup support as needed

Overview

Operates and maintains laboratory equipment. Responsible for both internal and external customer inquiries and problem resolution. Frequently interacts with hospital and physician office staff. May perform EKG and glucose meter testing. May also perform bedside patient care.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalency required

Qualifications / Experience

Completion of a Phlebotomy Program or course may be accepted in lieu of 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred EMR experience highly preferred

Certification/Licensure

Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) RQI required within 90 days of hire
