In accordance with the established Vision, Mission, Values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health (NH), the Manager, Regional Waitlist Management - Surgical Services coordinates and leads key perioperative initiatives within a change management and clinical service context by leading the day-to-day operations of Surgical Services waitlist management, for all surgical sites including ambulatory care departments. Assigns and oversees daily work of Surgical Patient Registry Administrators; troubleshoots day-to-day challenges, delivers, and acts as primary point of contact for patients, OR booking staff, and surgeon/specialists/physician’s office staff. This role functions as a resource for perioperative network and site leadership teams by ensuring optimal structure and design, and Cerner system changes are implemented to achieve desired outcomes and benefits.
Starting salary will be approximately from $106,026 to $132,533 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, project management or health-related discipline plus five (5) to 7 (seven) years related experience in project leadership, process design/improvement or health administration which includes supervisory, or leadership experience supplemented by knowledge and/or experience in waitlist management, OR booking, project coordination, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of OR booking, Electronic Scheduling systems (Cerner) Surgical Patient Registry (SPR), and surgeon office procedures.

Working knowledge of project management and process improvement principles and methods.

Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure deadlines are met.

Ability to lead and mentor staff.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced health care environment.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to use a high degree of tact and diplomacy in working with others.

Demonstrated proficiency in computer and word processing, spreadsheet applications and specialized clinical information systems.

Ability to operate related equipment.

Demonstrated ability to understand and utilize medical terminology.
