About the role
Adecco is actively seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead major project operations in Yellowknife, NWT. This is a full-time, rotational role with a Fly-in/Fly-out (FIFO) option and a 30% salary uplift for working in a remote setting. You'll be responsible for supervising all phases of construction, enforcing safety, and ensuring project delivery is on time and on budget, while fostering strong team performance and stakeholder relations.
- Pay Rate: $150k-$170k/year plus 30% uplift.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement the Clark Builders Safety / Building LIFE program.
- Ensure site safety and compliance with applicable legislation and internal protocols.
- Oversee all project phases: preconstruction, site setup, and execution.
- Review and manage project schedules, site logistics, and manpower planning.
- Collaborate with PMs, Estimators, and the Senior Project Leader to ensure safety, budget, and quality standards.
- Conduct constructability reviews and QA/QC checks to align with contract requirements.
- Lead and mentor on-site workforce and promote a positive work culture.
- Support recruitment, performance evaluations, and training of site staff.
- Drive LEED and Last Planner System strategies to maximize efficiencies.
- Represent Field Operations in cross-departmental coordination.
- Monitor and report on financials, forecasting, and monthly project reviews.
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- 5+ years of relevant site leadership experience
- Journeyman trade certification OR relevant post-secondary education
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Proven experience on large-scale or remote construction projects preferred
- Strong leadership, planning, and team-building abilities
- Advanced communication and conflict resolution skills
- Deep knowledge of contracts, specs, drawings, and construction practices
- Familiarity with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and MS Project
- Ability to manage high-pressure, multi-stakeholder environments
