Job Description
Key Responsibilities:TheProgram Manageris a strategic and dynamic role responsible for driving growth and overseeing the execution of sponsorships and select key accounts (including, but not limited to, government business). This role involves managing key relationships and ensuring the seamless delivery of sponsorships and complex initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strategic ability with operational excellence and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Sponsorships and Key Initiatives
- Support on pre-sale scoping and budget creation for custom executions
- Drive the successful execution of high-profile sponsorships delivering exceptional value for clients and partners
- Lead cross-departmental teams to deliver sponsorship programs that align with client objectives and elevate their brand presence
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of all Torstar’s advertising products, internal systems, and partner teams to accurately respond to client requests, identify risks, and manage roadblocks.
- Ensure flawless execution by proactively managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and addressing challenges with agility and precision
- Lead P&L management of projects to maximize profitability and proactively identify scope creep for custom executions
- Serve as a trusted partner to sponsors, maintaining open communication and providing creative solutions to exceed expectations
- Leverage insights and feedback to continuously refine processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction for every initiative
Key Accounts
- Lead the seamless delivery of key account programs by aligning internal teams to execute with precision and excellence.
- Foster collaboration across departments to ensure all aspects of the client experience exceed expectations, from planning to execution.
- Champion a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential challenges, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
- Drive client satisfaction by ensuring consistent, high-quality execution that enhances trust and increases the likelihood of repeat investments.
- Maintain and present executive dashboards, offering actionable insights into financial and operational performance to drive strategic decision-making.
Collaboration and Reporting

Drive cross-departmental stakeholders to deliver accurate, insightful data and analysis that support ongoing revenue growth and client retention.

Oversee the creation and delivery of initiative-specific and overarching dashboards by aligning resources and ensuring contributions meet the highest standards of quality.

Ensure reporting moves beyond basic metrics, focusing on actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and deepen client relationships.

Facilitate collaboration across teams, ensuring alignment on key metrics and consistent delivery of high-value reporting for both clients and internal leadership.

Serve as the primary advocate for data-driven insights, ensuring all reporting efforts are timely, relevant, and support business objectives.

Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities in the government and sponsorship sectors.
Qualifications
-Experience:

5+ years in advertising sales, account management, or sponsorships, with a proven track record of success.

Experience working with government accounts is a strong asset.

Knowledge of live events and sponsorship delivery is preferred. -Skills:

Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.

Strong project management and organizational abilities, with keen attention to detail.

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign performance metrics.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. -Personal Attributes:
