This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement. This arrangement will allow you to work some days at a TCHC work location and the rest of the time from home. The amount of time required to work at a TCHC work location is flexible, while considering operational and service delivery requirements.

Make a difference

The Program Supervisor administers, coordinates, designs and delivers construction and maintenance service/solutions in the effective delivery of Demand Service requests, planned maintenance, and preventative maintenance and construction programs in a multi-disciplinary environment. This role is also responsible to ensure the undisrupted workflow and to engage in discussion and persuasive debate to ensure program & project success.

What you’ll do

Planning and Delivery

  • Coordinates all aspects of service delivery in compliance with regulatory and legislative requirement and TCHC policies, including identification of project scope, budgets, payments, timeframes and milestones.
  • Provides recommendations in assessing operating systems by replacing/extending life cycle and/or reducing/mitigating potential damages in life cycle of building components.
  • Prepares regular equipment/service audits.
  • Supervises multi-disciplinary vendors’ pool, including performance evaluations, site inspection, service procurement and delivery strategies from concept to completion, including project close-out (final inspections, rectification of outstanding concerns and deficiencies, close-out documents).
  • Plans, coordinates, implements and inspects planned, preventative and emergency maintenance and construction programs. - Coordinates with various departments within TCHC to successfully implement assignments.
  • Maintains quality assurance standards.
  • Prepares, evaluates and executes service proposals (e.g. RFP, quote, contract review, etc.) of construction, preventative, and demand service requests on an on-call 24/7 basis.
  • Recommends, implements and evaluates corporate vendor management policies and procedures.
  • Establishes client communication protocols, financial reporting mechanisms, progress updates, scheduling and work activities to meet/exceed contract obligations.
  • Manages ongoing project communication to all parties including construction progress meetings and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Participates in Health and Safety compliance, workplace accident and injury investigations and reporting.

Financial Accountability

  • Prepares and/or reviews project budgets including profit projections, tracking, adjusting and reporting on profits and costs anomalies, and reconciling costs for quarter/year-end.
  • Provides and recommends approaches on program/project budgets to Program Manager or designate.
  • Tracks, manages and forecasts project and program budgets.

Reporting, Performance Metrics and Administration

  • Mitigates risks to client’s assets through establishment of proven service standards
  • Reports on financial and service performance indicators.
  • Responds to emails, telephone calls and requests from Operation site staff, various Facilities Management (FM) staff, management members, in house trades, design and engineering staff, and other corporate stakeholders
  • Prepares and reports on financial, service performance indicators and other metrics.

What you’ll need

  • Completion of a College Diploma in a related technical field, or Trade Certification, or extensive and equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ proven job-related experience
  • Experience in developing and monitoring budget plans
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence, analyze and evaluate complex problems providing solutions and recommended alternatives.
  • Ability to work on small to large scale projects and multiple projects within a program-based environment.
  • Sound working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Residential Tenancies Act, Ontario Building Code, Gas Code, Fire Code, local By-Laws and other related legislation
  • Extensive technical and legislative knowledge and experience in contract administration and tender preparation
  • Full G Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
