Contract Administrator / Project Coordinator (Utilities)
Pickering, ON Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote) CA$50,000 – CA$80,000 per annum
Overview
Matchtech are supporting a key client in Pickering, Ontario with the requisition of an experienced Contract Administrator / Project Coordinator to support utility and infrastructure projects from initiation through completion. The role combines contract administration and project coordination responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual obligations and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage contract administration activities throughout the project lifecycle, including change orders, documentation, compliance requirements, and project closeout activities. Coordinate project schedules, meetings, documentation, and communications between stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams. Support Project Managers by monitoring deliverables, budgets, invoices, and overall project progress. Maintain accurate project and contract records and ensure documentation is up to date and properly filed. Identify, track, and assist in resolving contractual and project-related issues. Support project planning activities and effective time management to meet project milestones and deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
Demonstrated experience supporting Toronto Hydro projects is required. Minimum 2 years of experience in contract administration and project coordination. Experience within the utilities, construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors. College diploma or university degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. PMP, CAPM, or another project management certification is considered an asset. Strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with project or contract management software is an advantage.
