Job Description Position: Registered Nurse – Home Hemodialysis File #: 4631 Status: Full Time Dept: Home Hemodialysis Posted: October 2, 2025 Internal Deadline: October 9, 2025 Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will work within the Home Dialysis Program training home hemodialysis patients to perform their own dialysis and provide ongoing support to patients at
- Candidates will be required to visit to the patients in their homes as part of the training and support
- Candidates will be expected to assume on-call duties
- Graduate of a recognized College or School of Nursing
- Baccalaureate degree completed or in progress required.
- Current certification of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- C-Neph (C) designation required
- Current BCLS
- Minimum of 5 years recent nephrology experience with at least 4 years experience in hemodialysis
- Solid C.A.P.D. and APD (Cycler) experience an asset
- Excellent skills in leadership, communication/interpersonal relations, assessment, critical thinking and patient teaching/training
- Demonstrated ability to be self directed and work independently
- Commitment to ongoing professional development within an evolving field
- Ability to apply the principles of adult education and demonstrated teaching skills required
- Candidates must provide their own transportation for visits to patients homes and between CVH sites
- Availability to work all shifts and flexibility in work schedule is required to meet patient’s needs for training and home visits.
- Successful attendance and performance required.
