Your Role And Responsibilities We’re looking for a Product Manager with a strong foundation in product ownership, business strategy, or application development, and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience.

This role is ideal for individuals who blend technical expertise with customer-centric thinking to drive meaningful product decisions. You’ll play a key role in shaping IBM’s Compilation Technologies and Enterprise Products portfolio, focusing on business-critical application development and modernization. Your ability to connect technical capabilities with market needs will be essential in delivering innovative and impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and execution of compiler or language product, or key modernization initiative.
• Drive growth and continuous improvement by aligning technical capabilities with customer needs, collaborating across design, development, and customer-facing teams, and applying deep domain expertise to shape IBM’s enterprise modernization strategy.
• Lead product ideation, roadmap development, and release planning leveraging business insights
• Analyze market trends and customer feedback to refine product plan or strategy.
• Drive cross-functional alignment and ensure clear, consistent communication across development, design, sales, and adjacent product teams to support strategic goals and seamless execution.
• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, providing product expertise to clients and partners.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in product management.
• Strong background in product management, business strategy development, or application development.
• Demonstrate success in conducting original market research, developing product strategy, and delivering end-to-end solutions in Agile environments.
• Demonstrate understanding of business and technical concepts, software architectures, or enterprise technology solutions.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders in all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrate strong leadership by aligning cross-functional teams around a shared product vision.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Ability to apply strong business acumen to develop compelling product business cases that align with strategic objectives and drive investment decisions.
• Hands-on experience in developing applications on IBM Z, with familiarity in z/OS environment, and development practices.
• Good understanding of programming languages, DevOps practices, and AI strategies, with the ability to align product decisions to evolving enterprise technology trends and application modernization goals.
