Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a strategic, passionate, and drivenindividual to join our team as a Senior Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience leading projects using a formalized methodology that is aligned to industry best practices, and a proven track record of delivering results that demonstrates a keen ability to see projects through from conception to conclusion.

Who you are

You have worked in healthcare or other industry managing complex projects of various sizes for a minimum of 2 years. You have experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teams, as well as understand continuous improvement concepts and change management. You have a proficiency level in Microsoft Office applications. You have strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills. Experience coaching and/or mentoring others would be considered an asset.

Education Requirements:

  • University degree (in pharmacy, health, business administration or equivalent) or an equivalent combination of education/experience in formal project management
  • Preference will be given to candidates with PMP certification
  • Knowledge of and experience in institutional pharmacy practice and regulations would be an asset

Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.

What you will do

  • Coordinate and manage projects with multi-disciplinary teams of health care professionals, support staff, executive leaders, and various other stakeholders, including external partners and vendors
  • Oversee all planning activities, including development of the project charter, requirements gathering, scope definition, schedule development, human resource planning, cost estimating, risk planning, stakeholder analysis, communications and change management planning
  • Take an active role in managing project relationships. Work with project sponsors, business/process owners, and other stakeholders to foster productive and effective collaboration across the project organization, determining stakeholder needs, and managing expectations.
  • Execute the project plan, ensuring the project remains within its schedule, cost, and scope baselines, performing change control procedures when required
  • Monitor and report on project progress, manage risks and issues throughout the project life cycle, escalating roadblocks as required
  • Lead change management activities and coach business leaders on their role in managing change on the project
  • Formally close the project, ensuring the completion of major deliverables and achievement of business goals. Conduct and document a lessons learned assessment.
