The Systems Engineering Analyst is part of the Raytheon ELCAN Engineering team working cross functionally and across multiple complex programs. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and coordinating systems engineering activities to ensure compliance to the requirements and traceability of the requirements from concept to qualification. They will also play a key role in writing and managing the technical documentation as well as ensuring our technical concepts are protected.

What You Will Do:
- Demonstrate leadership in programs requiring technical coordination across multiple disciplines
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support/prepare documentation for compliance and other technical deliverables
- Review and edit technical documentation and proposals
- Manage requirements and the traceability to results
- Work to ensure intellectual property is protected
- Generate and execute test plans
- Work closely with customers to define requirements and support trade-off discussions
- Support Jurisdiction and Classification of technical hardware and data
- Other job responsibilities as required.

- Strong analytical and reasoning skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to review and interpret specifications, work instructions and drawings
- Training in Configuration Management systems and/or Requirements Management an asset
- Competent computer skills – with advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel
- Effective interpersonal, leadership and communications skills
- Analytical and reasoning; decision making with business acumen
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property an asset
- Knowledge of the Controlled Goods Program and/or Jurisdiction and Classification an asset
- Knowledge of optical systems an asset
- Knowledge of MIL-STD and ISO specifications an asset
Education & Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other appropriate technical education or experience equivalent.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working experience in the defense industry or in an optics related field is an asset.
Raytheon ELCAN offers a competitive compensation package that includes incentive program, benefits, and pension plan.
This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program. In order to obtain the required security clearance, candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, have resided in Canada for a minimum of five consecutive years, and meet all other program requirements. Job offers will be conditional upon candidates undergoing a successful security screening per the Controlled Goods Regulations and the Contract Security Program.
