We are seeking a Journeyperson Helper / Labourer to assist our Mechanics in the field.

Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting field and shop mechanics as required
  • General clean up of shop, yard and machines
  • Aid Mechanics with the removal and installation of guards and steaming
  • General clean up of shop, yard, field sites, parts and machines
  • Other General Duties as required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Class 5 Drivers License with no restrictions, successful drivers abstract required
  • Completion of a pre-apprenticeship program is an asset
  • Safety conscious self-starter able to follow directions, work under the direction of a J/Field Serviceperson and possess the motivation necessary to contribute positively to a safe team environment
  • Experience working within a heavy equipment maintenance environment, basic equipment knowledge, along with preventative maintenance experience would be considered assets

Important Details:

  • This position is based out of our Prince George facility
  • A condition of employment includes the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable

Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Union dues will be deducted from your pay upon hire. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
