About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Risk & Insurance, the student will be a member of the Operational Risk team, whose mission is to safeguard the organization by identifying, analyzing, and managing operational risks while supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring robust governance across all trading activities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Optimize tools and processes to improve insurance reviews, claims tracking, and policy renewal collaboration
  • Assist with providing training to internal teams.
  • Support and collaborate with stakeholders across various operating teams to collect insurance data.
  • Assist in obtaining, editing, and providing proof of insurance to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with and support our in-house teams and service providers.
  • Review and respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders including analysis of data, policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review insurance clauses in contracts to accurately transcribe key data into structured tracking tools for data retention and analysis.
  • Conduct research into existing insurance obligations and trends.

What you must have:

  • Registration as a full-time student;
  • Completion at least the second year of university studies in Business Administration or related discipline;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

You should apply if you:

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and highly diligent in the review and evaluation of information;

  • Bring forth a systematic approach to problem solving and exhibits the aptitude to take initiatives;

  • Are comfortable managing multiple priorities and able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team;

  • Are highly proficient with the complete MS Office suite, particularly SharePoint

  • Demonstrated and proven project management or coordination skills.

  • Demonstrated and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.

  • Knowledge of insurance and/or renewable energy facilities operations is an asset.
