About the role
As a Financial Analyst, you play an important role within the finance team and work closely with the Director of FP&A. You bring a strong willingness to learn and grow, while leveraging your experience to contribute effectively through solid analytical thinking, developing financial modeling and automation skills, and clear, collaborative communication.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders by collecting, analyzing, and presenting key information.
- Develop, maintain, and improve the weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash flow forecast model.
- Execute weekly cash flow cycles by updating actual inflows and outflows, and preparing forward-looking projections with recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and recurring financial reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly analyses using the Indochino data warehouse to translate operational metrics into actionable insights that drive cost efficiencies.
- Assist in producing monthly showroom-level and district-level P&L reports.
- Assist in implementation of automation opportunities to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Assist in preparing complex financial models; support the design, enhancement, and adoption of budgeting, forecasting, and planning systems, including improvements to data governance and automation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand operational and data needs and translate them into clear reporting requirements.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment continuous improvement by enhancing, modifying, or eliminating processes to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Review and validate data consistency across reports produced by multiple teams.
- Provide reporting and analytical support to Retail Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, and eCommerce teams.
- Assist in performing ongoing testing of key FP&A policies and system implementations, identifying opportunities to streamline processes.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial and business analyses for senior executives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is required. Professional Accounting Designation (CPA / CA / CGA / CMA), or FP&A specified designation
- 2+ years of experience in a business analyst role within Finance and/or Corporate development
- Experience managing weekly cash flow cycles ensuring accuracy, timeliness is essential for this position
- Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) tools; implementation of BI tool will be considered an asset
- Excellent financial modeling & automation skills
- Experience with R-Studio, Power BI, SQL an asset
- Proven ability of advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
- Out-of-the-box thinker and problem solver with a resourcefulness and can-do attitude
- High degree of flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands of business partners
- Create an environment that fosters innovation and automation
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze complex data
- Sense of urgency and passion for driving results, and proven results-orientation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, lead multiple projects, prioritize, and manage a high-volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions
- Excellent communication (fluent in English), presentation, and interpersonal skills - able to work closely with internal/external team members at a senior level
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
