About the role
The RDKB is seeking applicants for the Retrofit Program Coordinator (RPC) position, located in Trail, BC. This is a temporary, 4 days a week, full-time position on a 1-year contract.
Reporting to the Senior Energy Specialist, the Retrofit Program Coordinator will support the delivery of the RDKB HomeSmart program and provides guidance to residents undertaking resiliency and energy home improvements. The RCP is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the program, work to increase awareness and participation in the program and ongoing relationships with residents and contractors across the region. While most of the work will be in an office environment during regular working hours, Mondays through Thursdays, the RPC will also work some evenings and weekends to successfully deliver the program and conduct community events.
This is a 1 year full-time, benefitted contract position to provide coverage while the permanent incumbent is on parental leave.

Applicants must possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:
- Degree in energy, climate action, building science, environmental or engineering
- At least 3 years experience in climate resilience and energy initiatives, project coordination and customer service
- An equivalent combination of qualification and experience will be considered
- Considerable experience in program development and implementation
- Experience in coordinating and managing projects
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's license

Hours of work: 28 hours per week during summer months, 30 hours per week during winter months
Compensation: $41.45/hr (2025 rates CUPE 2254)
