The City of Campbell River is searching for an experiencedFacility Services Workerto join our Police Services Team in this Long Term Auxiliary part-time position of 20 hours per week.
Naturally, Campbell River– Located on Vancouver Island, the City of Campbell River offers a rare combination of a welcoming small-town feel with large-city amenities. We are a 45-minute drive from the winter and summer activities of Mount Washington, and just minutes from more than 100 km of all levels of mountain biking and hiking trails, plus easy access to the ocean, rivers and lakes for sports fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and whale watching.
**The role:**Reporting to the RCMP Municipal Manager and working directly under the supervision of the Police Services Supervisor, the Facility Services Worker is directly responsible for custodial and facility services duties at the Police and Public Safety Building providing seven (7) day per week coverage.
What we offer:The rate of pay for this CUPE bargaining unit position is$34.34per hour, based on a 20-hour work week.
**Hours of Work:**As per Article 16 of the Collective Agreement; will be five (5), four (4) hours shifts, Friday to Tuesday (20 Hours per week)
##Qualifications
Education/Training
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Building Service Worker I and II (BSW I and II) Certification.
- Current Level I Basic First Aid, including adult CPR certification.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, produce and maintain a clean driver’s abstract, as per City policy.
Experience
- Minimum six (6) months previous work experience in janitorial position.
To note:
- Successful candidate will be required to pass and maintain RCMP Reliability Security Screening.
