About the role
The FM HUB Financial Administrator Assistant plays a key role in supporting the financial integrity and operations of the Financial Management HUB program. This position is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate financial documentation for participants receiving financial administration services. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone with experience in finance and administration who is passionate about supporting individuals experiencing financial and housing instability in a social service environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative duties related to finance and reporting.
- Support financial documentation for reporting to funders.
- Monitor and reconcile individual in-trust account funds and transactions.
- Develop and maintain accurate financial records for participants.
- Support distribution of participant cash disbursements in alignment with financial goals and monthly budgets.
- Support the preparation of financial audits and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Maintain data privacy and security for participant financial information.
- Contribute to improving financial administration processes and reporting practices.
What You Bring To The Team
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- Certified accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) is an asset.
- 3+ years in financial administration, preferably in a social services or community-based setting.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing financial or housing instability.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, databases, and QuickBooks.
