Job Summary
The Stock Controller will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and seamless processing and handling of incoming and outgoing products from both internal and external sources, fulfilling all warehouse functions performed within the warehouse.
Shift: Afternoon Shift (Monday - Friday) 3:00pm - 11:30pm.
Compensation: $29.29/Hour. After completion of probation: $29.81/Hour
Job Duties
- Match incoming and outgoing product with purchase orders.
- Verify product expiration codes.
- Inspect product to ensure saleable condition with acceptable code dating.
- Operate a Forklift or Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist with scheduling freight appointments as required.
- Lift cases of product and /or stock merchandise according to documented procedures as required.
- Process all necessary paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking using QAD (Bimeda’s ERP software system).
- Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Sort and distribute incoming shipments.
- Perform quality audits of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off.
- Follow current SOPs, GMP standards, procedures and regulations relating to warehousing, shipping and receiving (SOPs, GMPs, etc).
- Perform Cycle Count activity and recounts as required.
- Ensure shipments contain proper documentation and ensure item lists are complete for multiple items per shipment.
- Problem solve missing documents, shipments and deliveries.
- Work cooperatively with internal customers to meet demands.
- Develop and maintain inventory management and vendor relations with various courier and transportation companies.
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean work environment and perform sanitation duties as required.
- May be required to work in our Pinebush Warehouse on occasion.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Technical/Physical & Behavioural Abilities
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification an asset.
- Experience in QAD or Bimeda proprietary systems an asset.
- Experience in the Health Care or Warehouse Industry preferred.
- Working experience in a Shipping / and / or / Receiving function preferred.
- Customer focused and quality oriented.
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Basic mathematical skills required; Ability to weigh and measure items.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team and independently.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (word/excel).
- Sense of urgency.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills and the ability to work under stress and time constraints.
- Strong work ethic, integrity and positive team attitude.
- Flexible to work overtime as required.
Working Conditions
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Repetitive heavy lifting; lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required.
- Work is performed in a combination of environments.
- This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes, seasonal temperature fluctuation and oils.
