Job Purpose

As the North America Admissions Lead, you will oversee the regional Admissions team, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely handling of all student admissions processes. You’ll focus on maintaining high standards for response speed, accuracy, and service quality when dealing with agents and students, from initial enquiries and bookings through to invoicing, payments, accommodation, and pre-departure information.

You’ll play a key role in foster collaboration across the global admissions function, particularly with the UK based team, and in supporting the professional growth and effectiveness of your North American colleagues.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Admissions Management

  • Lead and support the North American members of the Global Admissions Team
  • Maintain regular communication with the UK Admissions Lead to ensure alignment and a consistent global approach
  • Collaborate closely with North American Career College Admissions managers to support and book PSE students
  • Design and deliver training sessions, and build an accessible online resource library to enhance team knowledge of new locations and programs, identifying knowledge gaps and arranging suitable resource to support
  • Ensure prompt handling of all agent and student enquiries, maintaining the 24-hour Admissions service standard
  • Sending booking confirmations and invoices to clients and where appropriate issuing visa letters
  • Ensure agents receive complete details for transfers, accommodation and insurance, and emergency contacts
  • Confirm that all fees have been paid prior to the student’s/group’s start date
  • Ensure schools receive full and accurate student information on all requirements before they start their course
  • Partner with EFL Global Recruitment Team to provide timely agent onboarding, quotations, and support
  • Ensuring good knowledge and communication of promotions/regional activity
  • Proactively build and maintain knowledge on all EFL products and locations
  • Ensure Admissions Manual is current and consistently followed
  • Act as Juniors/YRG admissions back-end admissions lead, working in collaboration with the head office North American Juniors team
  • Participate in in the 24-hour hotline rotation as required
  • Undertake other projects as assigned by the Management team
  • Provide leadership and support to the Admissions team, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and effective execution of daily responsibilities.
  • Monitor team performance regularly and offer coaching and guidance to help staff achieve their individual Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) targets.

Direct To Consumer (D2C) Admissions:

  • Assist walk-in students and handle inquiries by phone or email, providing accurate information on all available programs
  • Follow up with prospective students through multiple channels (phone, email, and in-person meetings) to support conversions
  • Guide applicants through the admissions process, including entrance and language requirements, and application completion
  • Ensure all applications meet ESL and Career College regulatory requirements
  • Represent Oxford International by promotion programs and hosting on-campus visits for prospective students, parents, and institutional partners
  • Conduct campus tours and liaise with faculty to ensure an engaging and informative experience

What you bring:

  • Proven experience in student admissions, international education, or a related field with at least three years in an admissions environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, including proficiency with excel
  • Collaborative and proactive, with experience working navigating multi-team structures, dotted-line reporting, and global time zones to deliver solutions
  • Able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor when handling complex enquiries in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Flexibility to occasionally support evening or weekend activities

It would be an asset if you had:

  • Experience with CLASS or Intrinsiq systems (or similar student management platforms).
