Location: Squamish, BC – Garibaldi End date: August 28, 2026
Highlands & Squamish Elementary School Hours of Work: 35 hours/week; Mon-Fri,
Compensation: $19.85/hour 8:30am-4:30pm with one hour unpaid break
Start date: July 2, 2026
Do you have experience working with children? Would you like to spend your summer working in
an energetic, dynamic summer camp environment? We’re looking for a Childcare Worker to
join our team for Summer 2026 at Squamish and Garibaldi Highlands Out of School Care Summer
Camps.
The Childcare Worker helps plan and deliver a variety of activities and outings for school-aged
children (grades K-6). The Summer Camps provide a daily program that fosters positive
emotional, social, cognitive and physical development and value inclusion, multiculturalism,
independence and dignity.
Employment Requirements:

Criminal Record Search.

Signed Confidentiality form.

Approved reference check.
Eligibility:
-
Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;

Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been
conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the
employment; and,
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to
work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and
regulations.
