About The Role CCS, a Black and McDonald company, is currently seeking a Proposal and Communications Coordinator to support our growth strategy. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a passion for writing, project management and collaboration. You’ll work cross-functionally to support proposal development and internal and external communications initiatives.
- Base salary of $65,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience

Job Duties
- Monitor procurement portals to identify relevant business development opportunities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and compose compelling responses
- Develop and manage timelines for proposal deliverables, assigning tasks to SMEs as needed
- Lead and coordinate proposal projects from initiation to submission, ensuring deadlines are met and all components are delivered on time
- In some cases, work with a wider proposal/bid team, representing the company for larger, more complex bids.
- Facilitate the completion, review, and editing of proposals and submissions to ensure compliance with request requirements and maintain quality standards
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making
- Assist with internal communications, including employee newsletters, company updates, and recognition of special days/events
- Create visual and written content for websites and social media platforms
- Support brand consistency and messaging across all internal and external channels
Candidate Profile
- 3–5 years of experience in proposal writing, communications, or a related field (professional writing experience preferred)
- Post-secondary education, ideally in Business Communications, Graphic Communications, Creative Writing or Marketing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, or similar) and Adobe platforms
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new tools and platforms
- Superior communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present information to various stakeholders
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills, attention to detail, and ability to create cohesive narratives
