PRODUCTION LABOURER
Reporting directly to the Shop Supervisor, the Production Labourer is responsible for a variety of tasks related to steel pipe manufacturing.
- Material handling, strapping and bundling.
- Assist in making couplers and fittings.
- Operate recor machine.
- Utilize plasma arc and cutting torches.
- Assists in inspections and repair of equipment.
- Maintains a clean, uncluttered and safe work area as designated.
- Performs all other general labour work activities as assigned and required.
Education and Experience:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent mature student diploma with good skills in reading, writing and math.
- Some experience in a manufacturing environment, an asset.
Abilities and Skills:
- Mechanically inclined.
- Ability to weld is an asset.
- Must be a team player willing to take direction and suggest efficiencies.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift, an asset.
- Ability to understand metric and imperial measurements.
- Combinations of education and experience will be considered.
