Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a Driveline Systems Design Engineer to serve as the lead interface between the Chief Engineering team and the Product Release Center. This role is primarily responsible for managing system interactions and interfaces between components and subsystems of the Driveline System. The Design Systems / Applications Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer and supports multiple programs.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the Driveline System hardware system responsible, including integration and system balancing of all EDM gearbox components. Interface with Design Release Engineers (DREs), Centers of Excellence (COEs), Manufacturing, Suppliers, and the Development Validation Center. Schedule hardware system design reviews across the Product Release Center and review DRE design proposals as required. Organize reviews with the Virtual Analysis / CAE team and ensure Virtual DVP / Scorecard is completed prior to prototype hardware orders. Manage Driveline System and Interface DFMEA / DRBFM team reviews to ensure transparency and development of cohesive Design Controls leading to robust DVP actions. Support the Chief Engineer in developing FTE and ER&D/ED&D cost roll-ups for minor, mid-cycle, and new programs. Review and approve engineering change notices, ensuring checklists, lessons learned, and engineering best practices are updated and aligned. Lead Technical Cost Reduction (TCR) and Value Optimization (VO) initiatives in collaboration with Product Release Center, Development Validation Center, and Value Optimization teams. Represent the Chief Engineer in managing the program lessons learned documentation and ensure Technical Specialists receive timely updates to engineering best practices. Review driveline system and component validation completion status with the Development Validation Center and provide regular updates. Coordinate DRBTR reviews, manage follow-up items, and make decisions on issuing problem reports. Manage CQI and GIMS cross-functional task force teams by creating priorities, developing action plans, tracking progress, and maintaining initiative updates.

Work Arrangement

On-site 4–5 days per week. Travel to the U.S. approximately twice per month.

The expected base salary range for this position is $35 – $40 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.
