Role Summary: As a Director, Workplace Services (Americas), you will be responsible for and accountable for delivering an inspiring and energizing workplace the optimizes operational effectiveness, adapts to changing needs, and supports best-in-class employee experience. This role blends expertise in facilities operations, infrastructure, and project delivery with strong emphasis on relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership. Accountabilities & Qualifications: Accountabilities: Provide strategic leadership to deliver a world-class workplace experience across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with CPP Investments’ business objectives and culture. Develop and mentor a high-performing, diverse team that delivers consistently excellent service. Oversee daily operations for all workplace services, including space planning, facilities operations, preventive maintenance, and vendor performance. Oversee central services including reception, guest services, mail handling, events support, and workplace amenities. Lead third-party facility management (FM) partnerships to ensure service delivery excellence, compliance, and cost efficiency. Partner with internal and external stakeholders on leasing strategy, renewals, and negotiations for office premises in Toronto, New York, Brazil and support for other global offices. Direct tenant improvement and capital construction projects, from concept to completion, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met. Oversee critical infrastructure systems (generators, UPS, BMS) to ensure business continuity and resilience. Responsible for developing, monitoring, and analyzing KPIs across all defined operational areas; drive key initiatives and strategic long-term goals through scheduled tracking and reporting to create visibility of these metrics across the organization. Responsible and accountable for all daily operations and for providing an effective workplace experience that supports cross-Fund collaboration and high engagement. Optimize business operations to achieve business success by delivering support and services to business partners which meet their needs, add value and result in a positive employee experience. Manage multiple projects and daily activities, meet deadlines and develop plans to accomplish departmental goals. Responsible for the sourcing and selection of vendors and service providers; engage in contract development and negotiations and vendor and contract management that ensure financial prudence, integrity and compliance with internal policies. Manage and develop relationships with key partners, vendors and stakeholders. Responsible for overseeing the provision of central services (such as reception, switchboard, guest services, mail handling, and housekeeping) and is responsible for managing the teams delivering these services. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in workplace operations, facilities management, or real estate, with multi-site leadership responsibility. Demonstrable experience managing and motivating a high performing team including providing day-to-day direction & mentoring, and executing and managing yearly goal setting, performance reviews and professional development processes, and recruitment. Champion a service-driven culture that blends hospitality and workplace operations, elevating the employee and guest experience. Provide strategic leadership by motivating and developing a diverse and high-performance team focused on delivering high quality employee experience and services to offices in the Americas region.
