Administrative Assistant/Data Integrity Specialist – Foster Care Program

Part Time Position - .5 FTE (20 Hours per week)

Reporting to the Supervisor, Foster Care Program, the Foster Care Administrative Assistant/Data Integrity Specialist will provide vigilant administrative support to the Foster Care team through ensuring detailed file management (I strict accordance with Provincial Accreditation Standards) alongside exceptional land timey communication with the team as directed/required. As an integral member of the Foster Care team, the Administrative Assistant/Data Integrity Specialist will attend regular meetings and keep abreast of the changing needs of the team, families, organization and funders.

The Program – Foster Care

The Enviros Foster Care program provides the best possible care to children at a time of upheaval in their lives by matching a foster home to the needs of the child. When children are unable to remain in their own homes or with family members, Enviros offers Foster Care for children under the age of 18.

While there is no typical length of stay, Foster Care is not designed to be a permanent placement for children, and ideally, they are returned to parents, or placed with guardians, family members or another more permanent home environment

The Position – Part-Time Administrative Assistant/Data Integrity Specialist

For Consideration Applicants Will Need to Demonstrate the Following

  • An ability to be highly organized, energetic and flexible

  • Above average attention to detail

  • Nimble, adaptable and knowledgeable across IT functions

  • Strong understanding of non-profit/social sector

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, and function well as a team contributor

  • 5+ years’ experience in Administrative/IT role

  • Working knowledge of Sharepoint and Sharevision (preferred)

Prior to hiring – to complete

  • A current criminal record check including vulnerable sector (completed within the last 6 months)

  • A current Alberta Intervention Record check (completed within the last 12 months)

Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Support Foster Care team with all electronic file needs, including internal file audits and data entry

  • Process and review documents requiring signatures with care and attention

  • Communicate with foster care team around electronic files and additional support/information required to attain/maintain 100 % compliance with funders and policy

  • Provide support and training for foster families (as required) regarding timely and accurate sharing and uploading of required reporting and information

  • Receive and register documents for accurate data entry, organizing files and checking each client file to ensure all information is complete/accurate and in order – according to provincial standards.

  • Store, update and maintain databases

  • Perform backup procedures

  • Perform general office duties

  • Perform special projects as directed

Salary: $25,000/ annually
