The Waterloo Catholic District School Board with a total student population of 38,000, provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12) across the Waterloo Region.
The WCDSB also operates numerous Adult Learning and Continuing Education programs through St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres.

General Description Of The Program
St. Louis' Hairstyling Training Program is recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education, and is recognized by numerous employers in the Region as a quality program.
The Hairstyling Teacher(s) will report to the Principal of St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres .
Course Codes: TXJ3E, TXJ4E
General Description Of Duties
Develop lesson plans and deliver curriculum to students in a classroom and a salon setting Work as part of a team to guide and further develop the Hairstyling Program Develop course materials and curriculum content and ensure proper planning and follow up for the academic progress of all students Identify students' individual learning needs and use a variety of instructional strategies Assess and evaluate the progress of students and discuss results with students to build next steps for improvement Liaise with Administration Assist in the delivery of the co-operative education component of the Hairstyling program to prepare students for placements in the community Lead after school intake sessions for prospective students
Minimum Requirements:
Hold a current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification Senior teacher qualifications in the subject area (Technological Studies- Hairstyling and Aesthetics) Minimum 2 years hairstyling experience Eligible to work in Canada Available for in-person classes
Desirable Assets:
Hold a current Ontario Trade Certification of Qualification as a Hairstylist Previous teaching experience
Location: St. Louis Main Campus, 80 Young St., Kitchener
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:45 – 11:45 AM & 12:30 – 3:30 PM
Teaching Format: Compressed Schedule (each class is 3 hours per day)
Rate of Pay: $56.80 per hour
