Cashier – Seasonal (Christmas 2025)
Location: South Surrey – West Coast Gardens
Hours: 8:30am–5:00pm | 30–40 hours per week
Pay: $18/hr
Duration: October–December (possibility to continue into Spring season)
About the Role
Cashiers are the face of West Coast Gardens. You’ll welcome customers, process sales quickly and accurately, and keep the front area looking sharp. This is an active, customer-facing role where attention to detail and a friendly attitude go a long way.

What You’ll Do

Provide friendly, efficient checkout service for all customers

Operate the POS system for purchases, returns, and exchanges

Keep cash line stocked, clean, and organized

Restock and face impulse items and small goods at registers

Maintain product knowledge on plants and seasonal merchandise
-
Assist with daily opening and closing procedures as assigned

Support restocking, bagging, and carry-outs when needed
Who You Are

Friendly, accurate, and confident with customers

Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
-
Detail-oriented with good multitasking skills
-
Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Comfortable working in a busy retail environment and cooler temps

West Coast Gardens’ nursery, garden centre and greenhouses are situated in South Surrey BC. We offer a wide selection of annuals, tropicals, hanging baskets, planters, perennials, shrubs, herbs, veggies and more. Our retail garden centre serves the Vancouver and BC Lower Mainland area and offers high impact plants for your home and garden.
Our wholesale division delivers homegrown plants and planter designs weekly throughout the Western Canada and Pacific Northwest markets. Our clients include Costco Canada and USA, Sobeys, Albertsons and large independent garden centres nationwide.
