Role Description

We’re looking for a Lead Engineer, Systems Specialist to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across complex automation and engineering projects, serving as the primary technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with Project Management, you will oversee system integration, coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines, and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with technical, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical lead and engineering point of contact for assigned projects. Provide technical leadership and oversight across all engineering disciplines to ensure successful system integration. Lead technical discussions with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Develop, review, and approve engineering documentation, including design requirements, technical specifications, procedures, and test plans. Review engineering designs and drawings to ensure compliance with technical, contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements. Support Project Managers with technical planning, engineering estimates, change orders, risk management, and project execution. Provide technical oversight of engineering subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure project deliverables meet expectations. Lead design verification, development testing, and technical problem resolution throughout the project lifecycle. Support Manufacturing, Operations, and commissioning teams by resolving technical challenges and providing engineering guidance. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned, engineering processes, and Promation's Quality Assurance Program.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 5+ years of project engineering experience within a manufacturing, automation, or industrial environment. Minimum 1 year of experience providing technical leadership on engineering projects. Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, system integration, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance principles. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and customer requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical challenges. Strong project coordination, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors. Ability to manage multiple technical priorities while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Salary Range: $115,000-$145,000
