Role Description The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB. In this position, the clerk receives, inspects, and verifies incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips. The role includes preparing and packing outgoing orders, labeling and organizing products, and using pallet jacks or other material handling equipment to move goods safely within the warehouse. The clerk maintains inventory records, assists with stock counts, and helps keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures. Day-to-day tasks also involve coordinating with internal teams and carriers, resolving discrepancies, and communicating shipment status to support efficient operations and strong customer service. Qualifications Strong skills in Shipping & Receiving, including accurate checking, documenting, and handling of incoming and outgoing goods. Hands-on experience with Packing, ensuring items are securely prepared, labeled, and organized for shipment. Ability to safely operate a Pallet Jack and forklift equipment in a warehouse environment. Knowledge of Inventory Control practices, including stock rotation, counting, and record-keeping. Effective Communication skills for working with team members, carriers, and other departments. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting. Basic computer skills for using inventory, shipping, and email systems; experience with warehouse or ERP software is an asset. Physical ability to lift and move materials as required, and commitment to safe work practices. Prior experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
