What you will be doing:
As a Senior Accountant you will be a key member of the finance team, responsible to:
- Support all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, including billing, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close activities.
- Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, working papers, and account reconciliations, including complex or non-routine entries, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and perform expense analysis to support management decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting policies, internal controls, and other financial reporting processes in alignment with the company’s growth objectives.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements and other regulatory obligations.
- Collaborate with Finance colleagues and external accountants or auditors on special projects, audits, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and share knowledge with colleagues, supporting team capability and efficiency initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- CPA designation is a strong asset; Bachelor’s degree or business administration certificate in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, cost accounting, or public practice, including hands-on financial statement preparation or audit.
- Thorough knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (ASPE and/or IFRS).
- Strong financial analysis capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with accounting software and intermediate-to-advanced computer skills, including MS Office and Excel.
- Ability to make decisions, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team and build relationships with project and company stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable, demonstrating resiliency in response to changing work demands.
- Attention to detail and commitment to performing work with a high degree of accuracy.
- High degree of professionalism, proactive mindset, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience in real estate development is a strong asset.
What do we offer you?

The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 depending on experience. We also provide:
