QA Technician, (Vacuum Trucks) Westech

**LOCATION:**Westech Vac Systems - Nisku, AB

**TYPE:**Full-Time

SUMMARY:

The QA Technician will play a critical role in supporting the Quality Control and Warranty functions for the manufacture, repair, modifications or alterations of vacuum trucks used for TDG as well as vacuum trucks for non-Code applications by ensuring consistent product quality, identifying process improvements, and assisting with compliance and documentation.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2–3 years of QA experience in manufacturing or industrial settings

• Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)

• Ability to read technical drawings and welding standards

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable working 60% on the shop floor and 40% on documentation

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Forklift or yard equipment experience is a plus

• B620 inspections and pressure welding experience is an asset

• Knowledge of ABSA regulations is an asset

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform visual inspections during and after production

• Identify and report quality issues; help resolve them with root cause analysis

• Use Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) reports to improve product quality

• Monitor weld quality and ensure compliance with specs

• Assist with final assembly checks and finishing touches

• Support warranty investigations and documentation

• Help organize yard materials and inspect incoming parts

• Maintain quality records and submit reports

• Assist with ABSA compliance and code vessel inspections

• Fill in for the Quality & Warranty Manager when needed
