We are hiring for a Full-Time Sous Chef / Deli Supervisor position with a wage range of $19.00 - $24.00 at our location in Manning, AB.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead Kitchen Team in cooking and preparing a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Assist Deli Department Manager in overseeing the department’s growth in sales and profitability
- Implementation and maintenance of departmental programs such as ordering, receiving, and inventory
- Team Member training and coaching to achieve operational standards
- Ensure Team Members are in compliance with Health and Safety / Food Safety Policies
- Maintain excellent food execution and food safety compliance
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
- Following the opening and closing procedures and checklists to maintain kitchen functions
- Properly prepare and store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Handling customer service inquiries and providing an exceptional customer experience
- Resolve customer and Deli Department concerns and complaints
- Embrace and champion the use of real ingredients to produce real food
What you Bring:
- 1 year minimum supervisory experience in a food service environment
- Extensive knowledge of principles of food preparation, smokehouse cooking, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- 1-2 years experience as a prep or line cook is preferred
- Warm and welcoming personality
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- A passion for leading others while providing an exceptional customer experience
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Comfortable working during peak food-retail hours (i.e. evenings, daytime, weekends, and holidays)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
