Nature of the work
The position of vice-principal entails advising and assisting the principal in accordance with the mandate defined by the latter in the management of the instructional, educational and administrative matters of the school in order to foster the academic success of all students in accordance with the Education Act and the policies of the school board, including its Commitment to Success Plan.
The position includes carrying out all or some of the management responsibilities related to instructional and educational matters, human, financial, material and information resources.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or undergraduate university degree in an appropriate field of study attesting to a university study program of a minimum duration of 3 years.

Graduate program of university studies including a minimum of 30 credits in management relevant to the job of school administrator.
- A minimum of 6 credits must have been acquired prior to the first appointment to a senior staff position in a school and the remaining credits should be acquired during the five years following such appointment. In exceptional cases, the school board may refer a candidate who has not accumulated six credits to a selection committee.

Permanent teaching license issued by the Ministère de l’Éducation (MEQ.)

Five years of experience in a teaching position.

One year of relevant experience involving management functions (e.g., organization, leadership, planning, and team coordination)

- Mastery of the English and French languages (oral and written)
- Recognized as an effective teacher
