About the role

An established independent liquor retailer in Vancouver is seeking a highly organized Admin and Inverntory Specialist to bring structure, accuracy, and consistency to a busy retail environment. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented operator who enjoys inventory control, ordering, receiving, vendor coordination, reporting, systems, and back-office processes. The ideal candidate is practical, disciplined, and highly reliable. They will play a key role in supporting ownership and store leadership by strengthening operational routines, improving inventory accuracy, organizing administrative processes, and ensuring the business runs with greater consistency behind the scenes. This role is well suited to someone who is comfortable with repetitive, process-driven work and takes pride in accuracy, follow-through, and efficiency. Liquor retail experience is considered an asset, but it is not required. Candidates with transferable experience in retail, grocery, warehouse, hospitality, purchasing, inventory, logistics, or operations will be strongly considered.

Salary range is 55K-60K + Bonus

Description Manage daily inventory operations with a focus on accuracy, organization, and accountability Oversee ordering, purchasing, receiving, inventory flow, and product availability Maintain strong inventory controls, including counts, tracking, reconciliation, and variance review Ensure product is received accurately and entered properly into store systems Organize back-stock, storage areas, and inventory processes to support efficient store operations Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, including communication, ordering, follow-up, issue resolution, and product coordination Work with vendors and ownership to support product assortment, pricing awareness, promotions, and stock planning Prepare reports related to inventory, purchasing, receiving, stock levels, and operational performance Use computer systems and Excel to track information, identify issues, and improve workflow Support back-office administration, documentation, recordkeeping, and process compliance Identify gaps in current processes and implement practical improvements Partner with the Store Manager and team to support sales, service, and product availability Help ensure the store is well-stocked, organized, and ready to serve customers Support team members with inventory-related questions, receiving processes, and operational routines Contribute to a stable, accountable, and well-organized store environment Support future business growth, with potential involvement across additional locations over time

Requirements Strong inventory, administrative, and organizational skills Experience with ordering, purchasing, receiving, reporting, inventory control, or back-office operations Solid computer skills, including confidence with Excel and store operating systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable working with numbers, reports, product records, and system information Efficient with time management and able to prioritize daily tasks effectively Comfortable with repetitive, process-driven, and detail-heavy work Practical, hands-on, and reliable approach to operations Strong communication skills and ability to follow through consistently Vendor management or supplier coordination experience is considered an asset Retail, grocery, warehouse, hospitality, purchasing, logistics, or operations experience is considered an asset Interest in the liquor industry is considered an asset Liquor retail experience preferred, but not required
