About the role

Manager, Rouge Crew Bases – Inflight Services (12 month Contract)

Reporting to the Director, Rouge Crew Operations, the Manager, Rouge Crew Bases plays a key leadership role in supporting our Cabin Crew and enabling safe, compliant, and exceptional onboard experiences. This position provides strategic and day-to-day leadership across Rouge crew bases, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strong employee engagement in a fast-paced airline environment. This role is integral to achieving Inflight operational goals while fostering a strong safety culture, positive labour relations, and a high-performing leadership team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of Rouge Inflight Services bases and satellite operations, including Toronto and Montréal
  • Ensure a safety-first culture in all day-to-day operations
  • Support departing flights to drive On-Time Performance and provide real-time Rouge Crew support
  • Act as a subject matter expert and resource for Rouge Crew and Support Managers
  • People Leadership & Performance Management
  • Lead and support the Rouge Crew management team, ensuring all standards, policies, and practices are consistently applied
  • Provide coaching, direction, and decision-making support aligned with operational integrity, onboard product delivery, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee attendance management through the Corporate Absenteeism Management process
  • Provide leadership and oversight of performance management, progressive discipline, and case escalation processes
  • Attend meetings and hearings as required and support leaders through complex employee relations matters
  • Consistently observe and evaluate appearance standards to ensure compliance with uniform guidelines
  • Foster strong, collaborative working relationships with union representatives
  • Actively participate in union and company meetings and discussions, as required
  • Provide guidance to crew on corporate policies, protocols, and expectations, including disciplinary matters when necessary
  • Review and resolve passenger complaints in collaboration with Rouge Crew
  • Support departmental business processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with Flight Attendant recruitment activities, as required
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting competing and urgent deadlines
  • Navigate a fast-paced operational environment requiring strong time management and prioritization
  • Work shift hours, including weekends, as required
  • Travel occasionally in support of operational needs

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience

  • High standards of integrity, discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality

  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate teams

  • Exceptional organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic environment

  • Strong critical thinking skills with sound, independent judgment

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization

  • Clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and drive continuous improvement

  • Working knowledge of the Canada Labour Code
