Sr. Wellbeing Consultant
About the role
Job Summary & Requirements The Sr. Health & Wellbeing Consultant is responsible for advancing a culture of health, resilience, and wellbeing across the organization. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating holistic wellbeing initiatives that support the physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of Team RVH. The consultant collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure programs are inclusive, evidence-based, and aligned with Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre’s (RVH) strategic direction, mission and values. This position requires strategic thinking and planning, creativity, and a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and thriving workplace environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Program Development & Implementation: Design, implement, and evaluate inclusive, evidence-based wellbeing programs that address the diverse needs of RVH’s healthcare team, ensuring accessibility across roles, departments, and shifts
- Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with teams across the organization, including the People Team, leadership, employees, and professional staff, to co-create and support the successful delivery of wellbeing initiatives
- Data & Evaluation: Establish and maintain wellbeing metrics to assess program impact, identify trends, and guide continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making
- Training & Capacity Building: Develop and deliver training sessions and resources that enhance knowledge and skills related to personal and team wellbeing across the organization
- Strengthening Wellbeing Culture: Embed wellbeing principles and best practices into RVH’s policies, leadership development, and workplace routines to foster a psychologically safe and supportive environment
- Vendor Management: Identify, coordinate, and oversee external service providers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective delivery of wellbeing-related services
- Communication: Create and implement communication strategies that raise awareness, encourage participation, and celebrate the impact of wellbeing programs across the organization
Education:
- Master’s Degree in: Social Work or Psychotherapy (preferably with a focus on Workplace Health and Wellbeing), Organizational Psychology, Health Promotion, or a related discipline is required
- Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker are preferred
- Certifications in wellbeing, coaching, adult education, and/or health education are a strong asset
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in employee wellbeing, organizational development, or a related field
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive wellbeing programs within a corporate or organizational setting
- Demonstrated understanding of the multiple dimensions of wellbeing (e.g., physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, financial, connection, environmental, work) and their influence on employee wellbeing, engagement, productivity, and overall organizational health
- Ability to translate strategic wellbeing goals into actionable plans with measurable and meaningful outcomes
- Experience working in healthcare or hospital environments is highly desirable

About Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre
Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, located in Barrie, Ontario, provides safe, high-quality care for residents across a large geographical region including Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka. The area is home to more than 450,000 residents, with half of RVH’s patients living outside the City of Barrie.
As the largest health centre in North Simcoe Muskoka, RVH provides highly specialized services, and technology not found anywhere else in the region. This includes the only interventional radiology suites for minimally invasive surgeries, vascular services, advanced stroke care, as well as dedicated trauma rooms in its large Emergency department. RVH is also home to the Hudson Regional Cancer Centre, Simcoe Muskoka Regional Heart Program, Simcoe Muskoka Regional Child and Youth Program and the RVH Regional Renal Program meaning distance is no longer a factor for residents receiving lifesaving treatment.
