Title: Program Coordinator, Traditional Wellness
Salary: $59,336 - $ 74,169 -$ 81,586 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: This position is a term with the FNHA ending 8/30/2028 with a possibility of an extension. When the term position ends with the FNHA, it is intended that this position will be offered as a permanent role with the Vancouver Island Region Primary Care Centre,
Hours: 8:30-4:30 (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Esquimalt- Hybrid
About The Role Supports the delivery of traditional wellness initiatives across the Vancouver Island Coast Salish Region. Key responsibilities include coordinating Traditional Wellness Practitioners, Knowledge Holders, and Mentees; organizing their participation in events and healing sessions; maintaining program files; and ensuring all engagement is carried out respectfully. The role also contributes to the Traditional Wellness Integration Strategy and assists with programs such as Land based Healing, Traditional Wellness Promotion, and other related cultural wellness activities.
About You Education & Experience
- Minimum of a diploma with coursework in First Nations Studies, plus 5 years of recent, relevant lived experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Background working directly with First Nations individuals, communities, or organizations, ideally within Primary Care settings in the Vancouver Island region
Knowledge & Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft systems including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SharePoint and OneNote proficiency are assets
- In depth knowledge of First Nation traditional wellness, cultural protocols and traditional practices

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
