About the role
School District No. 83 is current seeking:
**Certified Education Assistants **
School District No. 83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap) requires Certified Education Assistants to work On-Call in All Areas.
This is a Union Position; rate of pay $28.29 per hour.
Qualifications Required:
- Grade twelve plus the Certified Education Assistant Course or equivalent recent experience (working with special needs students with partial physical and/or mental handicaps or learning disabilities).
- Four months’ recent successful experience working with children in a structured program or school setting.
- Demonstrated ability to be firm and gentle in dealing with individual students.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all school and support services personnel involved in program delivery, often with minimal supervision.
