Prep Cook – Farmhouse Café / My Purple Pantry Full-Time Overnight Position (10:00 PM – 4:00 AM) Must be able to attend evening (7pm-9pm) interview Farmhouse Café is looking for a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook / Bakers Helper to join our growing team in our Calgary kitchen. This is an overnight position suited for someone who is comfortable working independently. We specialize in homemade soups, fresh-baked sourdough, scratch-made meals, and house-roasted meats. If you enjoy working with quality ingredients and take pride in preparing food from scratch, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for daily food production, including washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning. Complete prep tasks independently during overnight hours. Assist with soup, sandwich, salad, and baked goods preparation. Follow recipes and production schedules accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations. Rotate and store food products according to food safety standards. Receive and properly store deliveries. Ensure kitchen is fully prepped and ready for daytime service at the Café. Qualifications Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred. Ability to work independently and stay productive during overnight shifts. Strong attention to detail and food quality. Ability to lift up to 35 kg. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Food Safe certification is an asset. What We Offer Competitive wages: $18.00–$22.50 per hour, based on experience.
