Senior Project Manager - Temporary Full-Time

Status: Temporary full time (2.0 FTE) - 12-month contract

Reporting To: Strategy and Performance Lead

Date Available: Negotiable

Hours of Work: 7.75 hours per shift, 38.75 hours per week

Salary Range: $36.42 - $52.13 per hour

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager combines project management expertise with refined leadership and communication skills to elevate the work of the Project Management Office (PMO). The Senior Project Manager achieves this by setting standards and procedures within the PMO, providing project updates for various stakeholder groups, and using the latest trends in project management to improve efficiency within the project lifecycle. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for reporting on the interdepartmental projects within the organization, including requirements, risks, and constraints, in alignment with Mosaic’s strategic and operational priorities. The Senior Project Manager works with various stakeholders to achieve outcomes throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Project Manager is also accountable for delegating tasks to other project managers, and guiding Mosaic staff through project management fundamentals to ensure a standardized approach to project deliverables and documentation.

Responsibilities

Project Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee projects, including managing project teams and vendors to establish a common goal, staying within approved timelines and budget
  • Confidently work with clinical and business stakeholders to scope, plan, and execute projects
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with project and organizational stakeholders
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
  • Facilitate team and project meetings, contributing creative solutions to improve team and project performance.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope
  • Develop and analyze functional requirements
  • Gather stakeholder feedback to inform project amendments and/or lessons learned
  • Act as the point of escalation for project inquiries

PMO Responsibilities

  • Development, use, and maintenance of standard project templates, creation of monthly reports and dashboards, and analysis of project and program trends
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for project management
  • Lead assigned projects from initiation to closure using Microsoft Project Online, Planner, and Excel
  • Continuously improve the PMO through document, standard and procedure creation

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Provide tools and methods for the organization to effectively deliver on project outcomes, in alignment with scope and other project parameters.

  • Communicate key project information to all levels of the organization

Qualifications & Requirements

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CAPM or equivalent required

  • At least 5 years in a Project Manager role in a small- to medium-sized organization

  • At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing, technical/consulting role.

  • Alternatively, an appropriate combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Healthcare experience is preferred

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree an asset

  • Exercises excellent judgment, discretion and independent thought regarding the management and dissemination of internal and external information.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for operational and executive audiences

  • Strong project management skills with proven experience

  • Must be able to explain concepts clearly to non-technical users in a professional and courteous manner

  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and work well with others

Working Conditions

  • Open office environment, involving primarily computer work, with some travel to other sites to meet with managers and teams.

  • Occasional evening and weekend hours required.
